The SCT Xcalibrator 2 SF is a handheld flash device, that comes pre-loaded with generic tunes for multiple vehicles. This version is NOT recommended for applications with a variety of changes. The Xcalibrator 2 can also read and erase DTCs (Data Trouble Code), as well as datalog parameters which can be directly viewed and stored to your laptop. LiveLink software is required to datalog with the Xcal2 which can be downloaded free from the Superchips Custom Tuning website (www.sctflash.com). The unit must be plugged into the vehicles ALDL (service) port to initially install or to change tunes. The cost of the Xcal2 is $399 USD. These units are VIN-locked to a particular vehicle once installed, so they can only be used on one vehicle at a time.
